Team DBH (David Benjamin Hobbs) is represented by many runners and supporters. We had over 60 walkers and runners and many fans to support team DBH in last year's C.A.R.E. run/walk in Waukee and the Dam-to-Dam event in Des Moines last spring. We have decided to make the Annual C.A.R.E. 5K & 10K Run and Walk for Organ Donor Awareness an annual fund raiser for the David Hobbs Music Foundation and to support My Angel Foundation. If you would like to run with us, run or walk the shorter course or just sponsor us with a donation, your support is greatly appreciated in honor and memory of David who was an organ donor.

We plan on running in other future events and would like to let people know about our efforts to raise money for the Foundation and feel like running is something we can do to contribute. Our goal is to contribute money in memory of David to help children. In the past we have donated to Light of Hope school and home for girls in Karati Kenya. There are many children fighting difficult battles at such a young age both at home and around the world. To see their faces, their smiles and to help provide some joy in the middle of their struggles, gives me hope and strength to try and make a difference. If children can find joy in the midst of suffering and pain, we can run six to thirteen miles and contribute something to help them. David's slogan "Don't Stop" applies to our race, we need your support, thoughts and prayers to make it through the miles without stopping. We appreciate all that you have done for our family and the strength that you give us to keep running.
